WEEK ONE

We begin the Drawing Course with a study of Tonal Value & Form using charcoals. This week, we are drawing inspiration from Karl Blossfeldt. Use the below Mushroom or Shell Video Guides to create your tonal study.

WEEK TWO

Building on tonal value & form from last week, we will create a pencil sketch of a reflected surface. You will learn how to use a range of sketching pencils to create a full range of values to achieve pencil realism.

WEEK THREE

An introduction to perspective and architectural drawing using pen and wash to build tone into your work. You will learn how to utilise ellipses to create space and depth to the drawing of a building.

WEEK FOUR

This week we will be looking at creating texture with pastel pencils by studying the fur and the eyes of the tiger.

WEEK FIVE

This week we will study figure drawing and learn the basics of human anatomy & proportion through a look at the art nouveau movement.

WEEK SIX
